Today is what happens when you don’t have a lot of time to spend on your 90 day goal. But skipping the critical action is not for you. It’s better to show up for a short time than no time because you need to keep building your consistency muscle.
You get rewarded with a great set of shots forever.
Basic point is that you take away a result which adds to your sum of results that gets you closer to getting your goal done!
What do you do when you feel that nothing is happening and you’re working so hard?
This morning we captured the sunrise in an extraordinary fashion. We live next to a natural pond area. This is awesome because we see tons of natural wildlife in the area. One other common byproduct of the pond is intense morning fog once in a while. Well, today is a fog day. We barely captured Mr. Sun making his appearance. What we do have for you though is evidence of an 11 minute capture of the fog setting in front of Mr. Sun.
Utterly spectacular to say the least.
This was the most number of sunrise photos that we have taken yet on one morning. We distilled over 30 shots down to these best ones for you.
Samurai Claire and I looked out the door and thought maybe we should pass on the fog morning. You may have a moment when you want to skip showing up on your goal. You are inclined to skip the workout. You want to have coffee versus making that sales phone call. You want to have a night out on the town versus paying down some personal debt. A day of golf instead of the soccer practice with the kids.
The list goes on and on…
But we focused in our best 90 day goals and decided to head out on the cold wet deck and snap off one measly picture.
Instead, we got into this rare and exotic fog versus Mr. Sun match. Now we have a great experience including Samurai Claire.
It got better and this shot of Mr. Sun was merely only available in seconds before the fog rolled north across his path. Some people call this “being in the right time at the right place”. I disagree. This is how Earl Nightingale defined luck. Luck is when preparation meets opportunity. So for this morning we are “lucky”.
Within about 40 seconds the fog began to get thick.
Then the fog caused a massive mirror effect that caused the size of Mr. Sun to seem like it doubled.
Then the fog became an optical illusion that made the scene transform from a 6am shoot to as if it were a midnight moon shoot. This is where you are working away like crazy on getting your 90 day goal done and it seems like things are getting worse than better. All you can do is stick to it and push through looking for hard evidence that this was just a one time feeling and not your level of normal.
Then the fog took over and we were well satisfied with what we had to show for the day’s effort. We are grateful we ventured out and didn’t miss this awesome experience.
